Software

This machine is running OpenBSD 4.2 stable, the proactively secure Unix-like operating system. I have choosen this operating system, because it's an open-source project which emphasize portability, standardization, correctness, proactive security and integrated cryptography.

This machine is the internet server for Barhorst.nl, BuniX.org, Norwegian.nl en Puffy.nl. It provides the following public available services:

http: Apache
https: Apache + mod_ssl
ssh: OpenSSH

Network

This server is colocated at BIT, a Dutch internet provider. It is connected to the internet with 100MBit/s and due to this rather fast internet connection, we mirror some open-source projects for European usage (openbsd.bunix.org).
